Ochain E eMTB Bosch Gen 5 Chain Damper
Ochain replaces the spider on a mountain bike crankset to remove the direct link which transfers suspension force to the riders feet, resulting in less fatigue and improved suspension performance. A bonus of the Ochain is reduced drivetrain noise as the chain is no longer active when the suspension moves.
The "E" Version of the Ochain is internally adjustable to vary the amount of decoupling between the chainring and the cranks. Out-the-box, it is set to 9 degrees, but can be changed to 6 or 12 degrees.
The next-generation spider design allows the chainring to rotate backward, effectively decoupling the rider from pedal feedback forces. This reduces chain turbulence and drivetrain noise, creating a quieter, more stable ride while allowing riders to stay focused on the terrain ahead.
By improving stability while braking and cornering, Ochain R enhances control on rough and technical trails. The external travel adjustment system enables precise tuning of drivetrain behaviour, allowing riders to select the amount of rotational travel to suit terrain, riding style and bike setup. Mounted directly to the crankset, the system delivers consistent performance regardless of cassette gear ratios. The latest generation also features improved impact resistance and enhanced sealing for increased durability and contamination protection.
