Fox have developed a new air spring designed to maintain smooth travel even when heavy riders are breaking hard. The “FLOAT Glidecore Ultra-Low-Friction Compliant Air Spring” keeps the air spring separate from the stanchion, so avoids any friction caused by twisting or flexing of the fork leg under cornering or braking forces.
The new 38 has a new, stiffer arch with cutaways, updating the aesthetics and shaving a bit of weight.
More bushing overlap, less spring friction and a heap of smaller improvements make this the fork to beat if you're looking for a fork for a 160-180mm travel bike.
